What You Need for a Complete SIST Application
If you qualify and you want to apply, then here
here are the specific elements that are needed for
your application to be complete. All of this needs to
be at the SIST office at
Fermilab by the deadline.
- Application Form. You will receive instructions on how to fill out the application form when you get nominated by a faculty member.
- Official University Transcripts Be sure to get us
transcipts from all the colleges you have attended. For a mailing address, see our contacts page.
- Letters of Recommendation You need to have two letters of
recommendation submitted. We prefer to see
letters from college professors, but other sources
are acceptable.
- Your Essay This is specified on the application form. A
tip: Be personal and be interesting!
- Resume. You must submit a professional resume with your
application. Your work experiences, and how you
describe them, are very important in understanding
your qualifications!
- Course Descriptions. Submitting a description of your
courses is optional, but it certainly helps us
know about the classes you have taken. This helps
a lot!
- Foreign Applicants Only: Be sure to fill in and submit the
SIST Foreign Student Applicant Summary.
Deadline: Friday February 15, 2007, 4:00 PM (Central
Time).
